Learn Colorwork and Steeking - Part 1, Aug 6

When we saw the cute Baa-ble Cozy, we knew instantly it was the perfect project to learn stranded colorwork and steeking.

This is a two part class:

  • Aug 6: We will learn stranded colorwork techniques.

  • Aug 20: We will cut (steek) our cozy and pick up stitches for the handle opening. Fun!

You’ll learn: All skills needed for stranded colorwork and steeking:  knit with 2 colors at one time, knit a 2-color rib, handle long floats, knit and cut a steek, bind-off with an icord.

Level: Intermediate. Must know how to knit in the round using double points or 2 circular needles and must have used small size needles.

We’ll provide: Yarn for one cozy (9 colors) and two 2-hour workshops.

Materials List: Size US 2 needles (DPNs or two size 2 circular needles),  tapestry needle, small crochet hook (C or D), and sharp scissors (may bring your own).

Scheduled Sessions: Sunday afternoons: Aug 6th and Aug 20th from 4:30 - 6:30 pm

Note: another session is scheduled Wednesday evenings: Oct 4th and Oct 18th from 6 to 8 pm.
